Common FAQ's

Lost Items

We check our busses after each tour disembarks and any items left behind are held at our office. Send us an email with details on where and when you were with us, or give us a call, to be reunited with your belongings!

Are children able to ride on the tours?

Red Bus Bistro tours (excluding our gin & cocktail packages) are family-friendly. As it is a vintage bus, we have no seat belts. Due to licencing laws we are not allowed to carry children under 3 years old in Glasgow and under 5 in Edinburgh.

Can I purchase drinks on the bus?

Yes – we have a fully licensed bar, serving tea, coffee, soft drinks, wine, spirits, and cocktails. You are also able to prebook specific drinks via our office prior to your tour.

Can wheelchair users travel on the bus?
Wheelchair users can come aboard providing they can exit the wheelchair and sit in one of the seats. We have downstairs seating available for this. We have a small space to store fold-up wheelchairs. Red Bus Bistro can reserve seating free of charge in advance for the lower deck for those with mobility concerns.
Can you book a certain table on the bus?
Generally, your seat will be determined by the bus manager before your tour. If you wish to be placed in a specific seat you can arrange this at the point of booking. A supplement charge will apply for some seats. For example, to book the front seats on the top deck, there is a charge of £6 per person or if you wish to have guaranteed upstairs seating there is a charge of £4 per person.
Do you cater to allergies/dietary requirements?
Yes, we do. Please let us know at the point of booking if you have any dietary requirements and we will organise a bespoke menu suited to your needs. Some requests may incur a charge to cover the cost of ingredients.
Do you have a full/recorded commentary?
This is not a guided tour and therefore there is no running commentary onboard.
Do you have an NHS/Emergency service discount?
Yes – we offer a discount of 20% on all bookings for emergency services staff. These discounts can be administered on telephone bookings. Proof of status will be required when boarding.
Do you offer private hires?
